An ETA Certified Payments Professional (CPP) and industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, Scott honed his financial skills on Wall Street after graduating from Syracuse University. His first entrepreneurial venture was starting a transportation business, which he later sold to a public company. He joined Card Establishment Services as an Account Executive in 1991, launching a career that also included leadership positions at First Data Corporation and serving as Sales Director for a leading credit card terminal manufacturer.
Scott’s product knowledge, collaborative style, and award-winning sales achievements helped him rise rapidly through the corporate ranks. In 2004, his entrepreneurial spirit propelled him to launch his own Payments brokerage, Harlan Davis (formerly known as Go Direct Merchant Services).

Driven by his passion for learning and dedication to perfection, Scott earned the Electronic Transactions Association’s CPP designation by completing a rigorous examination developed by the premier trade association for the Payments processing industry. He continues to fulfill the requirements for maintaining his certification, including upholding the ETA’s comprehensive Code of Conduct and earning continuing education credits within every three-year recertification cycle.
